On January 17, 2013, the first SITRAK heavy-duty truck, which represents a fruit of SINOTRUK-MAN capital and technological cooperation and is of pure German quality, rolled offline at SINOTRUK Jinan Commercial Truck Co., Ltd.

In December 2012, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers delivered a ceremony marking the annual export volume of Chinese vehicles has topped 1,000,000 units in Beijing, commending the 14 enterprises that have made remarkable contributions to the Chinese vehicle export cause. SINOTRUK (Hong Kong) Limited won the "Award for Truck Export Contribution".

On December 15, 2012, SINOTRUK (Hong Kong) Limited held a press conference for new models during the 2013 Business Conference, unveiling its independently redeveloped T series - HOWO-T7H and HOWO-T5G.

On November 22, 2012, the Overseas Summit of Chinese Listed Companies & Presenting Ceremony for the “Golden Bauhinia Awards”, organized by Ta Kung Bao and co-organized by the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute, the Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association and the Listed Companies Association of Beijing, took place at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong. Ma Chunji, chairman and Party secretary of SINOTRUK, delivered a keynote speech on “SINOTRUK’s globalization”.

On July 6, 2012, the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China organized a technical expert group for a feasibility study of the proposal of the Jinan Auto Test Center (SINOTRUK) for establishing the "National Heavy-duty Truck Quality Supervision and Inspection Center". The expert group accredited the proposal.

On April 11, 2012, the signing ceremony for building SINOTRUK's Brazilian KD plant and exporting 2,000 Euro V heavy-duty trucks to Brazil took place in Brazil, representing China's first batch export of heavy-duty trucks above Euro IV emission standards, marking Chinese heavy-duty trucks have been up to the world's most rigorous emission standards in existence and been able to compete against European and American heavy-duty truck giants.

On February 14, 2012, the "Mass Mixed Model Production Process Optimization Platform and its Application", declared by SINOTRUK (Hong Kong) Limited in association with entities like Huazhong University of Science and Technology, won the second national prize for progress in science and technology in 2011.

On February 6, 2012, at the Jinan Commendation Conference on Progress in Science and Technology & Innovative City Construction, SINOTRUK's two projects - "Natural Gas Engine Development" and "SmartShift SINOTRUK AMT Transmission System" won Jinan's first prize and the third prize for progress in science and technology, and its patent for "Ten-Gear Mechanical Transmission Assembly of Heavy-duty Truck" won Jinan's second patent prize.

On January 18, 2012, SINOTRUK's two independently developed models - ZZ4257N3247N1B and ZZ4257N3247C1 were listed among the first batch of drop & pull transport models recommended by the Ministry of Transport.

On January 13, 2012, the National Conference on Experience Exchange among 2A Credit Enterprises in Inspection and Quarantine & Quality Trustworthy Industrial Enterprises took place in Beijing. As a result, SINOTRUK was listed among the first group of "2A Credit Enterprises in Inspection and Quarantine", the country's highest inspection and quarantine rating.

On January 9, 2012, "China Commercial Vehicle of the Year Billboard 2012" was unveiled at the China National Convention Center. As a result, SINOTRUK was honored as the "Most Influential Truck Brand of the Year", HOWO A7 as the "Heavy-duty Truck of the Year" and Chairman Ma Chunji as the "Person of the Year".

Dec. 28, 2011: During the evaluation of the first Commercial Vehicles – My Trusted Power 2011, SINOTRUK’s D10 high pressure common-rail engine and WT615 range of natural gas engines won the Award of 2011 Commercial Vehicles – My Trusted Power.

Dec. 2011: SINOTRUK was granted the Second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Prize by the State Council.

Dec. 2011: SINOTRUK held its 2012 Business Conference and successfully launched HOWO T5G, HOWO light truck, C5B and other products, which marked SINOTRUK’s entry into middle- and light-truck segments as an enterprise group with full line of commercial vehicles.

Aug. 2011: Jinan Axle Co., Ltd., Jinan Power Co., Ltd. and Jinan Fuqiang Power Co., Ltd. under SINOTRUK obtained their high-tech enterprise certificates from Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Department, Shandong Provincial Finance Department, Shandong Provincial National Tax Bureau and Shandong Provincial Local Tax Bureau.

June 24, 2011: The project of Development of Special Natural Gas Engine for National High-tech R&D Program (863 Program) of National 11th Five-year Plan, undertaken by SINOTRUK, was accepted by the Ministry of Science and Technology in Jinan.

Apr. 9, 2011: SINOTRUK worked with German MAN Company to appear at the 14th Shanghai International Auto Show, holding the launch campaign of SITRAK brand.

2011: SINOTRUK was granted the honorary title of National Innovative Enterprise by the Ministry of Science and Technology, State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC) and All-China Federation of Trade Unions.

Dec. 2010: SINOTRUK won Provincial Governor Quality Award issued by Shandong Provincial People’s Government.

Oct. 29, 2010: SINOTRUK successfully issued corporate bonds of RMB 2.7 billion in Hong Kong and further enhanced its financing capability.

Jan. 2010: SINOTRUK received its Inspection Exemption Certificate for Export issued by General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People’s Republic of China.

2009: SINOTRUK’s HOWO (tractor) was granted Heavy Duty Truck Award 2008 by China Automotive News.

Apr. 26, 2009: The first and also the only national-level engineering and technology research center of heavy duty truck in China’s automotive industry was unveiled in SINOTRUK.

April 2009: Brand SINOTRUK was evaluated as Chinese Well-known Trademark by State Administration for Industry and Commerce.

Dec. 2008: SINOTRUK launched its new generation of heavy duty truck HOWO—A7 with more than 130 patents. It was a high-end heavy duty truck breaking through domestic heavy duty truck technology systems and equipped with newly designed D12 range of heavy duty truck engines as well as automatic/manual transmission with intelligent gear shifting, improving China’s heavy duty technology to a world class level.

Nov. 28, 2007: SINOTRUK (Hong Kong) Limited (HK3808) was listed on HKSE main board and became the first red chip in China’s manufacturing industry.

Sept. 2007: Heavy duty trucks produced by SINOTRUK was evaluated as Chinese Name-brand Product by General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People’s Republic of China.

Jan. 2007: SINOTRUK was evaluated as The Most Influential Companies 2006 by China Enterprise Confederation and China Entrepreneur Association.

Sept. 2006: SINOTRUK was granted the honorary title of 1st China’s Top 10 Companies in Independent Innovation by China Enterprise Reform and Development Society (CERDS) and Independent Innovation Assessment Committee for Chinese Companies.

July 2006: SINOTRUK won Management Excellence Award 2006 granted by China Quality Certification Center (CQC).

April 2006: Ministry of Transport published the first freight vehicles and trains recommended to the society. SINOTRUK’s HOWO heavy duty truck ranked the 1st place amongst these models recommended by Ministry of Transport. 8 HOWO models were recommended.

Dec. 12, 2005: The 10,000th HOWO heavy duty truck independently developed by SINOTRUK came off the line, marking SINOTRUK’s 10,000 HOWO heavy duty trucks in production and marketing in the same year. This was the first time in China’s heavy duty truck history and also a miracle even in the world’s heavy duty truck industry.

2003: SINOTRUK was evaluated as one of China’s Top 500 Companies in IT by National Informatization Evaluation Center and China Internet Weekly.

Oct. 1999, SINOTRUK was granted the title of Advanced Unit for Developing and Producing the Equipment Used at the Parade of the 50th Anniversary of National Day.

Oct. 1996: SINOTRUK’s 1491H280/034/6×6M 7-ton military off-road vehicle was evaluated as National-level New Product 1996.

May 1995: SINOTRUK’s 991H210/046/4×2 SIDA-STEYR 991H heavy duty truck was evaluated as National-level New Product in 1995 by State Science and Technology Commission, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Ministry of Labor, etc.

1993: SINOTRUK was evaluated as one of China’s Top 500 Largest Industrial Companies.

Dec. 22, 1990: HUANGHE JN162 range of heavy duty truck won the title of Quality Product during the evaluation of national electromechanical products.

June 1989: China’s first domestic SIDA-STEYR heavy duty truck came off the line at Jinan Auto Manufacturing General Factory.

June 12, 1987: Jinan Auto Manufacturing General Factory was granted Special Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Prize for Attending Liquid Surface-to-Surface Strategic Weapons and Carrier Rocket Project by the Evaluation Committee of National Science and Technology Progress Prize.

Oct. 1, 1984: HUANGHE JN252 off-road vehicles carried strategic missiles and passed Tian’anmen Square at the parade of the 35th Anniversary of National Day. On Oct. 13, Jinan Auto Manufacturing General Factory received an "Order of Commendation” from the State Council and the Military Commission of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

1983: The state approved the introduction of STEYR 91 range of manufacturing technology of heavy duty truck from Austria. On Mar. 12, 1985, STEYR heavy duty truck was assembled via SKD and came off the line.

1981: Model JN162 was successfully developed. 10-ton HUANGHE JN162 heavy duty truck was officially accredited by the state on July 29, 1984.

Jan. 1981: JN252 off-road vehicle, produced by Jinan Auto Manufacturing General Factory, was listed as one of state-of-the-art products for national defense by Ministry of the First Machine Building Industry.

May 21, 1980: Commission of Science and Technology for National Defense sent a congratulatory telegram to Jinan Auto Manufacturing General Factory: “You’ve made contribution to the launch of intercontinental missiles.”

1978: HUANGHE branded 5-ton JN252 8×8 off-road vehicle, produced by Jinan Auto Manufacturing General Factory, won Science and Technology Progress Prize at National Science Conference.

April 1968: Jinan Auto Manufacturing General Factory succeeded in developing 8×8 military off-road vehicle JN252. Its 8-wheel independent suspensions system enjoyed a leading position around the world. In Sept. 1970, JN252 8×8 military vehicle was produced through type test, fulfilling the glorious task of “matching DONGFENG 3 to surface-to-surface missiles”.

Jan. 11, 1966: Zhu De, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, visited Jinan Auto Manufacturing General Factory and inscribed the characters “HUANGHE” for HUANGHE branded truck. HUANGHE JN150 trucks were exported to foreign markets in the late 1960s.

May 1964: Jinan Auto Manufacturing Factory was awarded the First Prize of New Industrial Products for JN150 truck by National Planning Commission, National Economic Commission and State Science and Technology Commission.

May 14, 1960: Chairman Mao visited Jinan and inspected sample HUANGHE JN150 truck at Zhenzhuquan Exhibition. "Well done! Strive to be strong and self-reliant,” said Chairman Mao gladly.

April 1960: With untiring efforts of all cadres and workers, Jinan Auto Manufacturing Factory succeeded in developing China’s first heavy duty truck JN150 from scratch.

Dec. 1959: Jinan Auto Manufacturing Factory won Leap-forward Red Flag granted by Ministry of the First Machine Building Industry, Ministry of Agricultural Machinery and National Committee of China Machine Building Union.
